Edited by Kevin
Smith of Petersfield, Hampshire, Cube Worlds tapezine was issued
in 1984. However, it was not advertised in Celestial Toyroom and
therefore met with limited circulation. The surviving recording was
purchased at a convention in the mid-1980s. Unfortunately, little is
known about this tapezine and it is not clear whether it continued
beyond its premiere issue, although the J-card inlay suggested an
October / November 1984 availability date for Issue 2.
Cube Worlds 1 was
reviewed by David Balston in Issue 7 of Zero Room Audiozine (April 1985):
“It is introduced with the Leisure Hive theme, and all the
various Doctor Who themes that were used in the programme were
played. It is obvious that these were taken from The Five Faces of
Doctor Who season as the words ‘Part 2 of this adventure can be seen
tomorrow evening at 5.40’ were still there!”
